Orthographic Projection command (View Menu)

This command selects Orthographic Projection Mode, which lacks perspective, but is useful for viewing overhead plans and standard elevations of a project.  In orthographic projections objects do not get smaller with distance.

Note that objects do not get bigger or smaller when zoom is used in orthographic projection.  In other words, the mouse scroll wheel, or Plus and Minus keys, appear to have no effect in this mode.  However, their affect becomes apparent as soon as you switch back to perspective projection.  You may then find yourself inside the object, or a long way away from it.
