The Precise Move command moves the selected vertex, edge, face, group of faces, or whole object to precisely specified XYZ coordinates. You can choose between moving the whole object or just the current selection. The command displays the dialog box shown below.

When moving a face, group of faces, or the whole object, the reference coordinates are those of the center of the selection. This is defined as the halfway point between the maximum and minimum coordinate values of the included vertices. The center of a face is defined as the average of all the coordinates of all its vertices.

Current Selection

Shows what is currently selected --- a vertex, edge, face, group of faces, or the whole object.

X, Y and Z Coordinates

Initially shows the reference coordinates of the selection. Enter the X, Y and Z coordinates of the point to where you wish to move the selection. The coordinates of the current selection are shown initially.

Move Applies To

Choose between moving just the current selection or moving the whole object.
