The AutoScale command automatically sets the scale of a project to suit the current object, and chooses an appropriate set of values for related parameters such as the Groundplane Grid Interval, XYZ Keystroke Increment, and Snap Mode Grid Spacing. The values it chooses are usually appropriate for most purposes, but if you subsequently need to refine them, use the Scale command command.
The command was developed for L3DD version 3.43 to handle imports of DXF and STL files of unknown overall size. If there is no object in the 3D View to measure, the default scale and parameters are set.
