The Tools menu offers the following commands for manipulating modifying and shaping L3DD’s on-screen objects:

Face Clinic

The Face Clinic submenu has most Tools commands for faces

Object Tools ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 

                       

Star Maker

Subdivides selected faces via new central vertices moved out.

Quadrate Faces

Subdivides selected triangular faces via new vertices in all edges

Revolution Object

Generates a solid of revolution from a string of selected vertices

Sperify Object

Sets the radii of all vertices to the average radius of all vertices.

Stretch in XYZ

Stretches or squashes whole object via specified X, Y, Z factors.

Add Hinged Face

Add an N-sided hinged face to the selected edge via a dialog box

Join Hinged Faces

Joins 2 faces hinged to a static face.  First select common vertex.

Create Cutting Plane

Create a cutting plane via a dialog box, or parallel to a selected face.

Truncate Object

Truncate current object with a cutting plane.  Shiny side is removed.

Chamfer Object

Chamfer the selected vertices or edges of the current object

Thick Face(s)

Convert the selected face(s) into thickened panel component(s)

Create Frame

Make a rectangular-section framework from a convex polyhedron

Matrix Replicate

Replicate the current selection by entering an XYZ replication matrix.

Add Undo Buffer

Add contents of undo buffer to current 3D scene.

Add File Object

Add selected .LIG file to the current 3D scene.
