_bm3      Three-Plane Vertex command (Edit menu)

Top

This command creates a new vertex at the point of intersection of three planes.  The three planes are defined by first selecting three faces, which represent three planes extending to infinity in all directions.  Thus the point of intersection can occur inside or outside the bounding edges of the three selected faces.

If the three selected planes do not intersect at a point (i.e. at least two planes are parallel), a message to that effect will be displayed.  It is also possible that a vertex will be created outside the viewing volume, in which case you may not be able to find it!
