Use this command to select a group of vertices numbers by range of vertex numbers.  The command invokes the dialog box illustrated on the right.  Enter a starting vertex number and an ending vertex number.  The selected vertex handles/diamonds turn yellow.  Holes in the vertex numbering do not matter.
