Delete Faces command (Edit menu)

Use this command to delete just the selected faces in the current selection (the Delete key deletes all selected faces and vertices). For example, if the whole object has been selected, all faces will be deleted but the vertices will remain. Or, if the Select Mode rectangle has been used to make a group selection, only the selected faces will be deleted.
