3D Move Mode command (Settings menu)

This command turns 3D Move Mode on or off.  A check mark appears next to the menu item when 3D Move Mode is on.

When 3D Move Mode is on, the keyboard arrow keys move selections in absolute X, Y and Z directions, rather than the usual intuitive directions.  For example, the right arrow moves a selection toward higher X values, regardless of the current object’s orientation on the screen.  Similarly, the down arrow moves selections towards lower Y values, and the plus (+) and minus (-) keys move selections towards higher or lower Z values.  Mouse movements are unaffected.

The increment per keystroke, which is independent of mode, can be changed in the Scale Dialog Box.
